PipTerms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and Aymen Nurhussien, who makes Pip ("Pip", "we", "us"). By using Pip you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Pip. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your information.
Your account
When you first open Pip we create an account for you so your plan can sync. You can sign in with Apple to keep it if you change devices, and you need to before inviting people to your household or joining one. Keep your devices secure: anyone using them can use your account.
Households
- A household can have up to 8 people. Everyone who joins can see and change the household's plan, grocery list, fridge and activity, and gets updates about what others do in it.
- You can add people who aren't on Pip, such as children, and plan for them. Only add people whose details you're allowed to share.
- Invite codes let people join your household, so only share them with people you want in it. The owner can remove people and make a new code.
Pip Pro
- Pip Pro is an optional, auto-renewing subscription, billed weekly or yearly. The App Store shows the price in your currency before you buy.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before that period ends.
- You can manage or cancel it in Settings on your iPhone or iPad, under your name, then Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Pip Pro stays on until the end of the period you've paid for.
- A free trial, where offered, turns into a paid subscription when it ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before. Any unused part of a trial ends when you buy a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies, at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- One subscription covers everyone in the subscriber's household while they're in it. Each household's first week planned by Pip is free.
- We may change what Pip Pro includes or costs. Apple will tell you about a price increase before it applies, and you can cancel.
Health and nutrition
Pip suggests calorie goals and sizes portions to help plan meals. Calorie and nutrition figures are estimates, worked out from ingredient data and, for imported recipes, read by AI from the post, so they can be wrong. Pip gives general guidance, not medical advice, and isn't meant to diagnose, treat or manage any condition. Check ingredients for allergies and intolerances yourself. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, have or have had an eating disorder, or are planning for a child, talk to a doctor or dietitian before using Pip's goals.
Recipes and imports
- When you share a post to Pip, we read its text to turn it into a recipe for your household. Only import posts you're allowed to use, and respect the creator's rights.
- A cleaned-up version of a recipe from a public post may be added to the recipes everyone can use, credited to its creator with a link to the post. It never includes your name or your household.
- Creators can ask us to remove a recipe by emailing us the post link. We may remove any recipe or content that breaks these terms or someone else's rights.
- Recipes, steps and photos written or made by AI can contain mistakes. Use your judgement when cooking.
Your content
What you add to Pip, like your people, plans, lists and recipe edits, stays yours. You let us store, copy and process it to run Pip for you and your household, including showing it to the people in your household.
Using Pip fairly
Don't misuse Pip. That includes trying to get into other people's accounts or households, guessing invite codes, interfering with how Pip works, copying or reselling it, using it to break the law, or importing content you have no right to use. We may suspend or close accounts that do.
Beta versions
Versions of Pip from TestFlight are for testing. They may have bugs, change often, or stop working, and your feedback helps us improve them.
Changes and ending
We may change, add or remove features, and may stop offering Pip, telling you in advance where we can. You can stop using Pip at any time and delete your account in the app, under Household, then Account. Deleting it doesn't cancel a Pip Pro subscription; cancel that with Apple.
Our responsibility
We work to keep Pip useful and reliable, but it's provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on Pip's estimates. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer laws where you live.
Apple
If you got Pip from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. These terms add to it. Apple isn't responsible for Pip or its support.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms we'll update this page and the date above, and tell you in the app for significant changes. If you keep using Pip after that, the new terms apply.
